This Weekend - Gabriel's Gifts
Our food pantry collection this month will benefit Marian House Life Support. The program provides food and other essentials to infants and small children living in poverty in our area. Needed items include: Parent's Choice Powered Formula (available at Walmart); baby food (all types including cereal, fruits, vegetables, toddler food and snacks); baby wipes; and diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6 and pullups).

You can drop off your donation bin (or if you don't have a bin bring items in shopping bags) at the Knights of Columbus trailer which will be parked at the front of the church.

Long Term Care Information Night
The Knights of Columbus would like to invite you and your family to join us for free Spaghetti Dinner on Monday June 6th @ 6pm. Brother David Cary with our council will give a presentation regarding Long Term Care and the impact it has on us and our families.
David's presentation will address such questions as:
How will we cover the increasing cost of Long Term Care? Does Medical insurance or Medicare offer any coverage for the cost of a Nursing Home or in home care? What happens if I request Medicaid assistance? Do I want to spend my hard earned retirement to pay for Long Term Care? What programs or plans are available to help me and my family cover these costs? Are my children really equipped to handle taking care of me if I do not have the means to pay for care? Am I concerned that I am going to be a burden on my children?
If the day should come that you need Long Term Care, What Is Your Plan? Start the Conversation Today.  Additional information will follow-on future Church bulletins.

Volunteer Appreciation Night
The Pastoral Council is sponsoring volunteer appreciation night at Sky Sox stadium on Friday, June 17. The church will provide one free ticket per volunteer. You may purchase additional tickets for $10 each which includes pregame tailgate. Contact the office to RSVP and pay for tickets. Deadline to RSVP is June 6 for the church to make a bulk purchase. Pick up your ordered tickets in the office after June 12.
The Pastoral Council will serve hot dogs, chips and drinks at the tailgate at 5:30pm; game time at 7:05. Thank you to all of our volunteers who help make St. Gabriel's a special and welcoming place for all those who enter the doors

St. Faustina Reading/Discussion
St. Faustina, known as the "secretary of Divine Mercy," records Jesus's words to the world to reveal His great mercy to us. We will meet on Fridays after Mass and after the prayers of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the Holy Rosary. We will be meeting in the St. Monica Room, about 1:30pm. You are welcome to bring a sack lunch. The Diary of St. Faustina is a book you can "jump into" at any time and explore God's great love and mercy for all people, so feel welcome to join us any time! This Weekend
Sat-Sun: Gabriel's Gifts donation drop-off this week after each Mass.
Sun: The K of C Breakfast scheduled for this Sunday has been canceled, we will see you at next month's breakfast.
Sun: Adult Faith Formation at 5:45. Devine Mercy Lesson 9.
Mon, May 30: Office closed. There will still be daily Confession and Mass.

Upcoming Events.
Wed, June 1: Eucharistic Adoration from 10am - 7pm. Pray the rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet after the 12:15 Mass. Children's hour at 2 pm. Pray the rosary at 6:15 pm. Evening Prayer and Benediction start at 6:40 pm.
Fri, June 3: First Friday Adoration 10am to noon.
Fri, June 3: Reading/discussion group for The Diary of St. Faustina after 12:15 Mass.
Sat, June 5: Mission Lakota Fundraiser at Lulu's Frozen Yogurt. Please tell the clerk that you are from St. Gabriel, so our Mission Lakota team will get credit.
