Hymnal Change
We will be updating the hymnals for the Advent season on Sunday, Nov.24th, immediately following the 4:30 pm Mass. This is a great project for families, or students who need Confirmation service hours. Contact Kathy Thomas at 528-8407, or kthomas at saintgabriel. net.

Bethlehem Handicrafts
Bethlehem Handicrafts will be at our church this weekend presenting Holy figurines from Christian hands thousands of miles away to your hands, so that a piece of the Holy Land may bring joy and love to your homes. The Bannoura family, some of whom are the artists in Bethlehem, have been blessed to be able to present the work of those 1 percent Christians to our Parish. Grace your home with handcrafted quality olive wood crafts, meticulously and patiently crafted by Christians from the Holy Land. The hands do the labor, but the texture and color of the grains convey a mellow intrinsic tone. This art is considered the bread and butter to hundreds of Christian families in the Holy Land and is very beneficial to the existence of the one percent Christian minority in the region, a bracket of society who have weathered the storm to remain as the guardians and pillars of the Holy sites. Sign Up for St. Gabriel Flock Notes
Recently, St. Gabriel has started using Flock Notes as a group text messaging system.  We are using Flock Notes to notify parishioners of special events, weather-related closures, and Faith Formation class information and activities.  You can sign up just for general messages (events/weather closures) or choose other message categories as well (including K-5 Faith Formation, Middle School EPIC, Y-Disciples, and Saintly Reflections).  General Information and Faith Formation class information is sent as necessary; Saintly Reflections are quotes from saints sent no more than once a week for your spiritual reflection and inspiration.  You can sign up by putting your name and cell phone number on the Flock Note sign-up sheets on the Faith Formation table in the narthex. Alternatively, you can go to https://www.flocknote.com/saintgabriel and enter your full name and cellphone number.  Either way, you can choose the groups from which you would like to receive text messages in addition to the general messages.  Please do not enter your e-mail address, only your cellphone number, as St. Gabriel’s is using Flock Notes solely  for text messaging.
