Peaches and Pears Pick Up
Palisades peaches and pears you ordered will be available for pick up at Saint Gabriel the Archangel on Saturday, 21 August from 12:00PM to 4:00PM. There will be a few 18lb and 10lb boxes of peaches for sale at the time of pick-up.  You can pay by credit card, check, or cash.  Fruit sales benefit Council 12335 charitable works.

Used Book and Media Give-Away
Stop by our tables in the Parish Hall after all Masses this weekend (August 21& 22) and choose some FREE books and media to take home.   St. Gabriel’s Library volunteers have been collecting these items for quite a while now and would love to fine new homes for everything.  We’ll have books for all ages, DVDs, and CDs to give away!  Donations to benefit St. Gabriel’s Library will be accepted (but never expected).

Gabriel’s Gifts Food Pantry collection is August 28 and 29
Our monthly food pantry collection for Mercy’s Gate is next weekend. Critically needed items include Chunky soup, canned chili, toiletries and toilet paper. Other needed items include canned tuna and chicken, Hamburger Helper, spaghetti sauce, dry pasta, macaroni and cheese, canned pasta, ramen, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, instant mashed potatoes, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, instant oatmeal, coffee, granola and protein bars, fruit cups, milk and juice boxes, individually wrapped snacks, baby food, formula and diapers. Please drop off your donations at the Knights of Columbus trailer before the weekend masses. Collection times are 3:00 – 4:00 on Saturday and 7:15 − 8:00 and 9:15 – 10:00 on Sunday. Your donations make a huge difference in the lives of our neighbors. Thank you!

Bakers Are Wanted for Briarfest
We need volunteers to bake brownies, bars, cookies, jam, jellies, preserves, home canning items, popcorn balls, Rice Krispy treats, anything that is nonperishable. We will not have access to refrigerators. Now is the time to show off your special talents. All items need to be to the church by 10 a.m. on Friday September 10th. Briarfest Volunteer Signups
We are excited to bring back our church festival, Briarfest 2021 but we need our church community. It takes over 400 volunteers to operate the following: First Aid, Welcome Center, Classic Car Show, Volunteer Station, Bakery, Security, Operations (Setup/Tear Down) Walk For Hunger, Silent Auction, and General help. Briarfest Wine School
For our seventh year, Briarfest 2021 invites you to another celebration and tasting of fine wines hosted by The Wine Seller and sponsored by Realtor, Jeanne Guischard of the Elite Team with Re/max. Located in the new beautiful Annunciation Hall at St. Gabriel The Archangel Church. The hours of the wine school are Friday (Sept 10) at 6:30PM and Saturday (Sept 11) at 3:00 and 6:30 PM. We will be tasting 8 wines on Friday and Saturday. Each price includes a plate of snacks (cheese, crackers, grapes, etc.) We are currently working with our distributors to decide which wines will be offered.
