the common good, and with an unwavering pursuit of equality and peace.’ We urge all people of faith to observe the Feast of St. Peter Claver on September 9 as a day of fasting and prayer.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The annual Pontifical Good Friday Collection is mandated by the Holy Father to be taken up in every Catholic parish. This year because of the Covid-19 pandemic the collection
at parishes worldwide was rescheduled to the weekend of September 13, 2020. With your support, the Franciscans and other ministers in parishes in the Holy Land, provide formation and education, build homes and feed the hungry. The sacred shrines in the Holy
Land are maintained so pilgrims can walk in the footsteps of Jesus. And in these times of war and instability, they provide humanitarian aid. Your generosity is a sign of hope. We stand in solidarity as instruments of peace with the Church in the Holy Land.
Keeping Christianity alive in the Holy Land is a vital mission. Holy Land Christians, along with all of the clergy and religious who serve there, deeply appreciate your help.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
