Briarfest - September 11-13
Tell your friends, relatives, neighbors & co-workers about Briarfest. Year #2. On September 11-13, St. Gabriel will host Briarfest 2015, a festival designed to bring family fun and a sense of community to Briargate. Activities planned are: Carnival Midway Rides, Briarfest Bolt (5K & 1K kid fun run), Food Vendors, Entertainment, Music Concerts, Wine Tastings, Beer Garden, Briarpatch (Kids Games), Silent Auction, Exhibit, Arts & Craft Vendors and much more. Briarfest 2015 Silent Auction
It's that time of the year again and we are rallying up for the festivities. Last year's Silent Auction was a huge success due to your kind donations. We couldn't have done it without your help. There are multiple ways you can donate: Create a themed basket or provide donation- we'll make the baskets. We are always looking for Air Force, Bronco, or any sporting tickets, they always bring in the bids. Please start bringing in your donations to the office. All donations need to be at the office no later than Aug 10, so that we can begin the process. Please prayerfully consider donating. Your small or large donation makes such a huge impact. Blessings

Religious Education Needs You
Do you enjoy working with children? Our Religious Education program sure can use volunteers to help with Elementary grade levels. If you have time twice a month to teach our kids about our Catholic Faith, please prayerfully consider helping our RE program. We have openings on Monday from 4:30-6:00 and Sunday from 12:30-2:00pm. Only requirements are a love for kids, have been a parishioner for more than 6 months and be Safe Trained. Please contact Cindy Martinez at 528-8407.

RCIA
St. Gabriel will be holding RCIA on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30pm beginning August 26. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a ministry to adults who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. Our RCIA program addresses the needs of:
* Adults who have never been baptized
* Adults who have been baptized in another Christian tradition
* Adults who were baptized Catholic but have had no instruction in the faith or have not received the Sacraments of First Eucharist and/or Confirmation.

Upcoming Events
Monday, August 10: Donations due today for the Briarfest Silent Auction.
Tuesday, August 11: Senior Social Group Lunch at noon at Shangri-La
Restaurant, 8550 N. Union Blvd.
Wednesday, Aug 12: Eucharistic Adoration from 10am - 7pm. Pray the rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet after the 12:15 Mass. Children's hour at 2 pm. Pray the rosary at 6:15 pm. Evening Prayer and Benediction start at 6:40 pm.
Friday, Aug 7: First Friday adoration from 10am to noon.
