St. Gabriel Parish Mission

St. Gabriel Parish Mission. Christ's Healing Love. Jan 22-24. Each night will begin at 6:30 pm with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and ends at 9pm. Fr. Greg Blamlage of Missionaries of the New Evangelization from Colorado Springs will lead the parish program. Each night Fr. Greg will open us up to a deeper understanding of Gods magnificent love and to His desire to heal us in every way. Come with an open heart and an expectant faith. Each night there will be a Free-Will Offering to offset the cost of the Mission and to help Fr. Greg build the Center For The New Evangelization in the Dioceses of Colorado Springs. The Parish Mission is adult-oriented and may not be suitable for children. For more information, please contact the office at 719-528-8407.

Religious Education Families

Please return the M&M containers your child received from the Mission Big Friendly team. All money collected helps our team be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need this summer in Oklahoma City.  All donations are appreciated.

Children's Choir Rehearsals have begun for Lent & Easter!

REHEARSALS are on WEDNESDAYs, 5:15-6:00PM

 Students in grades 1-5 who love to sing and want to improve their abilities are invited to participate in St. Gabriel the Archangel Children's Choir.  This choir meets on Wednesday evenings, from 5:15-6:00pm, in the St. Cecilia Room, and is beginning to prepare for Lent and Easter. Parents are required to sign children in and out in the rehearsal room, so please accompany your child to the room. Chili Cook-Off

It’s Chili Cook-Off Time: All are invited to the 4th Annual Y Disciple Chili Cook-Off on Jan 27th after the 5:00pm mass. We will have the unlimited family pass for $20, unlimited individual pass for $10, a bowl for $3 and $1 tasting cups. Can’t beat this deal. All proceeds will benefit our parish  youth mission trips.

Gabriel’s Gift’s food pantry collection is January 27 and 28

Our monthly food pantry collection for Mercy’s Gate is next weekend. Please pick up a bin after mass today and bring your donation when you come to mass next weekend. Critically needed food items include: Chunky soup (large cans); coffee; canned fruit, canned carrots, corn and mixed vegetables; canned tomatoes, tomato sauce; jelly, peanut butter, main courses (Spam, chili, canned salmon, tuna, canned ravioli, macaroni and cheese, Spaghetti-O, etc.); spaghetti sauce; and dry pasta. Other needed items include: dry beans; jelly;  Non-food items include toothpaste and toothbrushes. Thank you for supporting Gabriel’s Gifts!

Free Throw Contest

St. Gabriel's Knights of Columbus will be hosting their annual free throw contest at Timberview Middle School on Saturday, January 27th from 9-11 a.m.  This is a free contest for boys and girls age 9-14 (age on January 01, 2018).  Participants compete against their own age group and winners receive awards and advance to district/state competitions. Date Night Resumes for 2018 – Warm up your Marriages!

The St. Gabriel Date Night ministry team invites all married and engaged couples of all ages to the first event of 2018, Friday, January 19,  2018, beginning at 6:00pm with a Warm Winter Soup themed potluck dinner.  Please bring a dish or dessert to share.  We will provide water and lemonade for drinks.  Deacon Mike will be giving a lesson about Amoris Laetitia, an apostolic exhortation by Pope Francis addressing the pastoral care of families.  The presentation begins around 6:30pm, and we will finish by 8:00pm.  Childcare will be provided, but because slots are limited, you must RSVP by Tuesday, 16 January with the number and ages of your children.
