Annual Thanksgiving Food Basket drive to support School District 20 families and military

Help Still Needed

The Outreach Ministry is accepting donations for our annual Thanksgiving Food Basket drive. We will be providing Thanksgiving dinner to families in School District 20 as well as military families in need of assistance. Sign up at the table in the narthex to provide a complete meal or a partial meal. A shopping list for both is available at the sign-up table. Please return your food donations to the narthex by Sunday, November 11.  Thank you for supporting this important program!

Job Opening at Saint Gabriel

St. Gabriel is looking for a part time afternoon receptionist.  While being the first impression of those coming into the office is the primary responsibility, applicants must have strong office skills as well as strong computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point. Conversational Spanish preferred, others will be considered .   Hours are 1pm – 5pm, Monday through Friday. Advent by Candlelight

Advent will soon be upon us.  It will be a time to look forward to  the birth of Jesus in our lives.  A good way to reflect on the beauty of Advent, get to know other women in the parish, and have a relaxing day is by attending an Advent By Candlelight event. All women of the Parish are invited and welcome to attend.  Sign ups for the event will be November 10/11 and November 17/18 in the Narthex after all Masses.

Do you like to hostess?

If you like being a hostess and enjoy decorating, an opportunity awaits!  Have fun decorating a table and greeting guests by hostessing a table at the Advent by Candlelight morning of reflection for women of the parish Saturday, Dec. 8.  Also enjoy tea and a light breakfast.  For more information contact Nancy in the office at 719-528-8407.

As you begin yearend tax planning for your family or business over the next few months, don’t forget that donations to St. Gabriel church qualify as a tax deductible charitable contribution.  Your donation to the parish helps support our ministries growth and life in our parish.

Most members give weekly, monthly and/or annual cash gifts, but a gift of stocks or bonds is another way to benefit your church and gain a tax advantage.
