March For Life Jan 23-26, 2020 San Francisco-Deadline approaching

Sponsor A Day
In celebration of the Feast of the Archangels, St Gabriel will again Sponsor A Day at the Marian House Soup Kitchen on Sunday, September 29th.  8 parishioners are invited to volunteer from 7 am to 10:30 am. Gabriel’s Gifts this month will benefit Care and Share’s “Send Hunger Packing”
Did you know that 1 out of 6 children in Southern Colorado are at risk of hunger?  Many of these children receive free lunch on school days, but go hungry on weekends. The Outreach Committee is partnering with Care and Share to feed these children and their families through the Send Hunger Packing program. Children enrolled in the program pick up a backpack on Friday containing enough non-perishable food to feed a family of four over the weekend. You can help by picking up a grocery list from the table in the narthex and returning your items next weekend. Thank you for your help!

Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University returns this fall, with classes starting Sept. 22.  Our small group format will meet on Sunday afternoons, from 2:00-4:00 PM.  Cost is $109 (a savings of $20), which includes 9 video presentations, your workbook, full access to Every Dollar Plus budgeting app, and a community around you to encourage you to set and meet your financial goals. Ministry Fair is this Weekend!
Every liturgical ministry in the parish needs support, and we hope you had time to stop by the recruiting tables in the narthex after Mass.  If your morning was busy, and you'd like to follow up on volunteering, please contact Kathy Thomas at kthomas at saintgabriel.net, or call the office at 528-8407, to volunteer.  Training dates will be set in the following weeks, so get involved in a small-group community of volunteers NOW!  Fall is a great time to begin service to the liturgy!
