Funeral arrangements for Lorraine Huard

Tuesday, February 27th – Vigil will be held at 5pm with rosary at 6:30pm

Altar Server Training

Upcoming altar server training is scheduled for Friday, March 2 from 6:30-8:00 pm and Saturday, March 3 from 10:30-11:00 am.  Servers may attend either session. This training is for existing altar servers or those who would like to become altar servers.

Shadow Stations of the Cross And Soup Supper Tonight

On Friday, February 23rd, the Y Disciple Teens will be presenting the Shadow Stations of the Cross at 6:00pm. This is a non-traditional dramatic representation of each station of our Lord’s journey to Calvary. Everyone is invited to join us. It will be followed by a soup supper.

Journey to Divine Mercy

The Divine Mercy Prayer Cenacle will be hosting a 5 week study and movie night on the Messages and Devotions of Divine Mercy on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm. Each week will introduce 1 of the 5 devotions, will show a movie on Divine Mercy, and will end in praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet (bring a rosary.) All are welcome. A Lent to Remember

A Lent to Remember explores the ways God reaches out to each of us with his mercy. Through Christ’s suffering on the cross in the Paschal Mystery and his perpetual reception of his people in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, God makes his love, his very self, present to us in the world. By reflecting on the Paschal Mystery and making a step-by-step examination of the Rite of                Confession, A Lent to Remember communicates God’s invitation to each one of us to come experience his indescribable love this Lent. Classes will be held March 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 6:30-8:30pm in the Vianney/Nicholas room. All are invited to attend.

Roman Catholic Chamber Choir

On Saturday, March 10, at 7:00 pm, St. Gabriel parish will host a Lenten concert by the Roman Catholic Chamber Choir.  This choir has been in existence for several years, and is now directed by Kate Johnson, the former St. Mary’s Cathedral music director. The program will include sacred music from the Renaissance and early Baroque periods, and also from the father of American choral music, with works by Gesualdo, Palestrina, Hassler, Anerio and Billings.  This music represents the sound of the Church in the 1500-1700s, and it promises to be a beautiful, prayerful evening to center your Lenten prayer.  A free-will offering will be accepted.  Don’t miss it!
