Peaches and Pears Delivery-Time Change
Knights of Columbus Council 12335, will deliver Peaches and Pears orders on Saturday, 17 August, between 12:00 Noon and 4:00 PM.  We apologies for the time change.  C and R Farms delivery truck will be arriving later than originally stated.

Visiting Priest
Dear Parishioners,
Please join us the weekend of August 24th  to hear Rev. Luis J. Runde speak at all the services about a ministry providing direct relief  to the poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Fr. Runde will share personal witness about Food For The Poor’s mission to care for the destitute as a means of living out the Gospel mandate to love one another.
Fr. Runde was ordained for the Franciscan Order in 1965. Before preaching on behalf of Food For The Poor, he served in Brazil and Nicaragua.
Please join me in welcoming Fr. Runde.

SCAM ALERT
It has come to our attention that there are several email and mail scams going around to our church community. Recently several parishioners have received an email from Fr. Kirk requesting assistance in some way (either by money, I Tunes cards etc). These are scams and we are urging you to delete the email immediately and do not respond to it or open any links in the message. Please be aware that Fr. Kirk will NEVER contact you via email asking for assistance. If you should receive an email from any staff member of St. Gabriel, please make sure to check the ENTIRE email address. We will ALWAYS use the saintgabriel.net email address and it will have our church logo at the end of the message. An additional way to determine if the email is from Fr. Kirk is that he will sign +JMJ+ after his name. Checking email addresses and NOT responding to pleas is a good practice to exercise when reading emails from any source. If you should have any questions, please call the office at 719-528-8407.

Briarfest Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are still needed for Briarfest 2019 (Sept 6, 7, and 8).  If you are able to help out, please go to www.briarfest.com and select the Volunteer Link to register. Sign up early so the correct size t-shirt can be ordered for you. Thank you.
