Second Collection This Weekend
The annual Pontifical Good Friday Collection is mandated by the Holy Father to be taken up in every Catholic parish. This year because of the Covid-19 pandemic the collection at parishes worldwide was rescheduled to the weekend of September 13, 2020. With your support, the Franciscans and other ministers in parishes in the Holy Land, provide formation and education, build homes and feed the hungry. The sacred shrines in the Holy Land are maintained so pilgrims can walk in the footsteps of Jesus. And in these times of war and instability, they provide humanitarian aid. Your generosity is a sign of hope. We stand in solidarity as instruments of peace with the Church in the Holy Land. Keeping Christianity alive in the Holy Land is a vital mission. Holy Land Christians, along with all of the clergy and religious who serve there, deeply appreciate your help.

Thank You
A huge thank you to all that participated in making the outdoor Mass a reality this summer! With Fr. Kirk's vision, and Marc Lanning's technical persistence, a small army of volunteers moved into action to create, build, direct, and serve this Mass setting. They included altar builders, tent installers, traffic directors, sound techs, musicians, greeters, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (in great numbers each week), sacristans, counting team, and tear-down volunteers. And, of course, our clergy and instituted acolytes, that served under sometimes challenging conditions to bring us the Eucharist. We are thankful for all that contributed, and for all that participated in this Mass.

Mass continues in the nave almost daily. Please make a reservation for weekend Masses at saintgabriel.net. Please see schedule above for Mass times.

Though we are still working with limited numbers of volunteers (by direction of the bishop), and to maximize how many faithful can attend, help is definitely needed. Sacristans, ushers, and sound techs are serving. If you've served in these roles and are ready to return, please contact your ministry coordinator, or the office, 528-8407. If you'd like to step up to serve in one of these roles, contact the office, or Kathy Thomas, kthomas at saintgabriel.net<mailto:kthomas at saintgabriel.net>. Training will be provided.
